  1. Awesome Tripod 5 Star Review

Posted by on 25th Jul 2018

Killer carbon setup for the money. Super solid with a spotting scope or camera mounted on it. Extremely light by itself, I put a manfrotto head on it which added considerable weight. Definitely the best carbon setup in this price range. Amanda got this sent out to me extremely quick!

  2. Quality Tripod for the Money 5 Star Review

Posted by on 17th Aug 2017

I replaced my ultra light Vortex SS Summit and Jim White Head with this Promaster set of legs and Manfrotto head. It's a major upgrade for my 15x Swaro's in terms of stability and I can stand up and glass too (I'm 5'9")

For the money, the tripod is sturdy but lightweight and the controls are intuitive and easy to use. The ball head it comes with is decent too, but I did replace it with a Manfrotto 701RC2 head and I'm at 3.5# total with my new set up. The detachable leg that is ready for use as a trekking pole or monopod for shooting is a nice touch too.

I don't think you will find a comparable Carbon Fiber tripod at this weight with these features at this price point.
