Product Description

Covert Security Box/Bear Safe

These secuirty boxes are custom built to fit the DLC Covert cameras and are made of 16 gauge steel with a baked on powder coat finish with camo paint for concealment. These boxes add security from theft and also eliminate animals from chewing on your camera. The bear safe can be lag bolted to a tree and has plenty of clearance for large headed bolts. They are also set up for python cables which work great on public land where you cannot screw into the tree. This option provides the best in security. The python cable holds both the front and back of the box together against the tree so you do not need additional locks.  But if you wish, there is a hole on the bottom of the box which you can put a padlock on for added security. There is also a hole cut in the bottom of the box for an external battery supply.

Let us know which camera you have so we can make sure you get the right bear box.

fits like a glove and sturdy

  2. Not Sure!! 4 Star Review

Posted by on 4th Sep 2012

I'm not sure I received the correct security box for the camera I ordered. The fit is a little awkward but we made it work (may end up with some wear marks on my cameras). Other camera/box combinations I own have a snug 'fit-like-a-glove' fit. The security box itself is well constructed and the hole for a pad lock will accept a 5/16" pad lock.
Response from store owner: These Security Boxes do fit like a glove. however, sometimes customers will try and insert the camera too far into the box. These are designed so that camera just lays gently ontop of the box that makes up the back half of the unit. Then the cover slides over it. But the camera does NOT go all way into the box, which is what I suspect you are doing. It's designed to leave space behind the camera for lag bolts/cables, etc. Please contact me for more information. You didn't leave your name so I can't contact you. amanda@coueswhitetail.com
